Mid-Autumn Festival is drawing ever closer, and the sweet aroma of osmanthus and baked mooncakes can almost be smelled in the air! Just last Friday, our colleagues in Wingtu Company’s Administration Department neatly delivered a large batch of heavy mooncake gift boxes to various departments, officially launching this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival benefits distribution.

Honestly, at this time of year, besides the holiday, the most anticipated thing is definitely the company’s “sweet treats.”

How are the mooncakes selected? I heard it’s a collective “inner competition” among foodies.

Don’t think distributing mooncakes is a simple matter. Mr Lu from the Administration Department revealed a little secret: “We really put a lot of money and thought into it this year.” To select the best gift boxes this year, their department held several rounds of taste tests.

“We tried samples from no fewer than ten brands, ranging from lava-filled mooncakes to Suzhou-style mooncakes and even snowy mooncakes. The office was practically a mooncake shop. One male colleague, who usually only likes salty mooncakes, actually ate two just for one egg yolk lotus seed paste. We immediately thought, ‘No way, this is it!'” Ultimately, the company settled on a gift box that blended Cantonese and modern flavors, catering to both classic mooncakes favored by older generations and trendy lava-filled mooncakes for younger generations. The gift box was also thoughtfully designed, featuring eco-friendly and biodegradable features. After eating, the box can be used to decorate small items, eliminating waste.

Thought is more important than numbers.
This Mid-Autumn Festival gift is more than just a box of mooncakes; it represents the company’s heartfelt love for every employee and their family. The company’s head also said a few words at the distribution site: “Our company hasn’t come this far easily, and it’s all thanks to the hard work of every colleague. Mid-Autumn Festival is all about reunion and fulfillment. I hope everyone will take this gift home, share it with their families, rest well, and recharge before returning to work together again.”

It’s reported that all mooncake gift boxes were distributed by Monday. These past few days, discussions in the tea room have shifted from project progress to questions like, “Do you eat the lava or lotus seed paste first in your mooncakes?” These down-to-earth discussions have made the company atmosphere warmer and more humane.

Finally, Wingtu Company wishes all colleagues and their families a happy Mid-Autumn Festival in advance, and may both family and moon be reunited!
