Children’s Day isn’t something most offices celebrate—but at Wingtu, we thought, why not?
So on June 1st, we set aside work for a while and brought back some childhood memories. The office was decorated with balloons in every corner—not for clients, not for a campaign, just for fun. On the tables, we laid out all the snacks we grew up with. You could hear people go, “Wow, I haven’t had this in years!” as they reached for White Rabbit candies or hawthorn slices. For a moment, everyone wasn’t a manager or a coordinator—they were just someone remembering the taste of after-school snacks.

But it wasn’t just about eating. In the afternoon, we ran a candle-making activity. No fancy setup, just wax, essential oils, and a table full of people trying to figure out how not to spill hot wax everywhere. Some candles turned out beautifully layered, others… let’s just say they had character. But no one minded. That was kind of the point.
There was no prize, no leaderboard. Just some music, people chatting while mixing scents, and a quiet kind of happiness that comes from making something with your hands.

In the middle of busy schedules and project deadlines, a few hours like this felt rare—and needed. It reminded us that a good workplace isn’t just built on performance, but on shared moments that don’t have anything to do with work at all.
We’re glad we did it, and we’ll probably do it again next year.
